Garden Oaks Fine Accommodation

Accommodation for Lease over 90+ Days

Oaklands Rise Woonerf, we provide furnished and unfurnished homes, typically rented for longer term. With options to include utilities and a range of amenities (from free Wifi to tableware and linens) a residency with Garden Oaks Fine Accommodation represents an extraordinary value in Victoria's rental marketplace. Costs have more than doubled for many owners and renters are advised to carefully consider "the package" for best value. 

Our furnished suites are ideal for those based in Victoria for extended medical treatment, academic or work projects/locums, film productions or just helping our with family care. Our properties are co-located and you'll find a neighbourhood welcome that is sure to ease your stay. Our long-stay suites are furnished; two are un- or partially furnished with character built-ins. These one and two bedroom suites offer residents unique spaces to make a home.  Two very spacious suites include an additional study/office space. Photos are found in the links below.

We do keep a waiting list, so don't hesitate to let us know of your needs. 

In compliance with B.C. governmental regulations we do not accept reservations classified as Short Term Rentals.

  • We welcome "snowbird" and longer term reservations over 90 days in support of health care, film and theatre productions and educational terms in Victoria. Often a stay of a few months turns into a residency for 1-3 years, the longest now for over 10 years! Much depends on availability and the needs of prospective renters.
  • Photos may also appear on sites despite that our listing has been closed or is not actively maintained.  If you have any questions, please contact us directly. We are not liable for online advertising that is out of our control. It turns out that some listing sites continue to maintain unavailable properties as part of claiming a large inventory for marketing.

      • Oaklands 8 (contemporary one bedroom for 90-120 stays)
      • Cedar Suite  (mid-century style one bedroom for 90+ days or ongoing)
      • Salish Sea View  (very large, two-level, two bedroom + office, separate living/dining rooms, view suite)
      • Parlour Suite  (spacious two bedroom character suite; may be rented unfurnished for long stays)
      • Pine Suite (contemporary character in a one bedroom, future availability: possibly from mid 2025 or 2026)
      • Oak Suite (contemporary design in a two bedroom + office; waiting list available)
  • Arrangement for lease stays under provisions of the B.C. Residential Tenancy Act may be made directly with Garden Oaks Fine Accommodation (GOFA) principals. Employment and landlord references are required. Please let us know the number and relationship of prospective residents, duration of stay, any other particulars to help us ensure the best fit among our non-smoking, pet-free suites. 

Allergies in the family, and among our resident community, mean that we are unable to accept pets. John jokes that he lived with a setter, three labs, a manx and a siamese for 27 years...then moved for university and discovered breathing! We are proud to offer housing that supports the health needs of our community. We do understand the challenge of finding pet friendly accommodation and regret that we are not able to help. No smoking of any substance is permitted on the property for the enjoyment of all.
